Hello everyone, We are back. I am soooo busy packing to go to Penn. to spend Christmas with Matt's family. We leave tomorrow after church. The past few weeks have been crazy!!! To start it off on December 8 around 10pm, Allyson got sick. She was sleeping and woke up puking all of her milk. Then proceed to get sick every 15 to 20 minutes. We decided to go to Akron Children's emergency room. We were there from 12-4 am. We were admitted right away. It took awhile for the doctor to come talk to us. The nurse gave Allyson something red to drink, like Tylenol to see if she would keep it down. As soon as it was down, it came right back up. The nurse said "You just bought yourself an IV." Oh great.... my poor baby. Two nurses proceed to try to find a vein to draw blood and put an IV but that took forever. The had trouble finding a vein. They had to use a light to find one. They took blood for some tests. Next, they tried two times to put a IV in and on the third try it worked. They put it in her foot. The whole time Allyson was crying and screaming. After the IV was put in, we waited awhile. A nurse came in later and gave us pedialyte to feed to her. If she kept it down, we could go home but if not she would have to stay the night. Allyson kept it down and we could go home. They diagnosed her with mild dehydration and gastroenteritis, if i remember right.
