Allyson had her 15 month well child checkup on Wednesday at 11a.m. Dr. Lisy said she is a healthy little girl. She is growing at her own pace and keeps moving up the chart. With her physical and language skills she is behind 3 months. The doctor, Matt and I are not concerned. She should be walking and saying 3-5 words. The reason for being behind is because she was premature by a month and then in the hospital for two weeks. That set her back three months. Understandable... for what she went through. The doctor thinks she will be walking in a month and if she is not talking by her next appointment in may, he will have her hearing tested. He heard her talking gibberish so that is a positive sign. Milk and speech has nothing to do with each other. She can have as much milk as she wants. Some babies require less milk and some may require more. The doctor said the amount Allyson is drinking is fine.
