Playgroup

Matt and I found this program(details below) at our Church for Allyson to participate in. The program is every Wednesday from 6:30- 8pm. September thru April. "Rock and Praise is our Creative Art program for babies through kindergartners. This program was developed by Jodie Rusznak, a certified Kindermusic instructor, who offered a worship experience for parents and children while nurturing cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth." Our first day was on Wednesday September 3. We thought it would be a good experience for Allyson because she would be around kids her age. There were about twenty kids that showed up and there is another Allison in the group. We sang about four songs to the kids. The teacher would give the kids instruments to play with during the songs. Allyson would crawl right up to the box and grab one or even two. She did not stick around us the whole time. We were so proud of her. A story was read to the children but imagine just three of the children sitting and listening to the story and the rest of them were running around the room. After the story we went across the hall to have a snack. It ended up that only a few kids wanted a snack so the rest of them went to the playland. After finishing her snack we went to the playland for a little bit. We left at 8pm to head home. As soon as we pulled out of the church parking lot, Allyson was already falling asleep. Allyson had a great time. We are looking forward to next week.
